Sniffing Nomad : Where to Visit and plans in the DMV ...

Writer's picture: Tim EagleTim Eagle

I’ve always taken time, even when walking to my new job, to stop and smell the flowers, or at minimum snap a picture of one. The flower can be bland, non-scented life, but I’ll still grab a picture, still admire the blooming life unfolding in a blazed glory, and enjoy.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off in this new strange world of work and RV’ing. On those days I write. I’ve been plotting a few events and I’m open to suggestions as to where and what we (Maria and I) should check out. I'm also open, if you're in the area on my days off, to meet and have a cup of coffee somewhere or grab a bite to eat.

I’m almost completely settled now, working about forty hours a week, enjoying the wooded scene out the Mothership’s windows as I type, and have planned a couple outings. One outing, is to visit the steps featured in the movie The Exorcist. I know, so many others have done this, but it's my turn now. The movie terrified me as a young adult and I need to go explore that area. Another “to do” is visit Seneca Creek State Park. This is the park with the woods in which the ORIGINAL Blair Witch Project was filmed in 1999 (weirdly that date sounds like it was so far in the past). There are other plans to visit Annapolis, Chesapeake Bay, take a run to Baltimore, Ocean City, see the National Mall, find some old cemeteries, and hopefully more. If you are from the DMV area, I’m open to suggestions.

On that note, I’m glad to keep writing book five in the infamous Vasectomus Collection, because every story needs told and eventually finished and I’m happy you stopped by to read this feature. Hopefully next week I can write about a place Maria, I and Cocoa check out (while our feline friend Walter White, gazes out at the squirrels, birds and continue her dream of a utopia), and bring you along. In the meantime, take care, and thanks for reading!

Sincerely,

Tim Eagle
