Today I'm reviewing, Fan Girl by Christa Wojciechowski . This book was a free download from the author's website. You can find it here: The Girl with the Long Last Name

I apologize for the short reviews, but short is sweet, and short is better...

I'm going to start this review with WOW! My first read by Christa Wojciechowski. I had the honor of meeting Christa at Scares that Care in Virginia this early spring, and she is a captivating author who lives in the same "country of Florida" that Maria and I frequent during the winters. She, like so many great authors, has a passion for perfection, a passion for the art of writing, and the free short story Fangirl gives you a sense of perfection, albeit with a dose of dread strewn in the background. The typical world of dysfunction of everyday life surrounds the main character as this transgressive fiction paints an odd, true to life, picture of the obsessive human mind. Idolizing is a dominant theme, which metaphorically resembles a society worshipping celebrities, politicians and anybody who has some influence (not sounding too far off from the current ideologies of a certain orange president and other celebs). This short, quick read, is a treat that pulls you in, strangles you a bit, and then lets you breathe, only to give you a nightmarish end of almost dark comedic undertones. I recommend giving this a read, and supporting this awesome author, and while you're at it, sign up for the freebies offered on the author's site.
