An Unusual Encounter During a Sunset Drive in the Everglades, and more...
It's an overcast day here in the "Glades." I'm staring out the window at some palm trees and a gray sky as I write this. The day might be overcast, but that's okay. Down here in the swamplands when the clouds cover the sun we're in for perfect temperature and it gives the Mothership's air conditioning, and our increased melatonin, a tiny break. Oh, the unusual encounter is an alligator who's dinner was interrupted, picture is in the photo dump below. We absolutely love sunset

Swampland Arrival, Gators Welcome
We arrived at our home for a few months. The very place that featured a 2000's video of the Skunkape. I navigated the Mothership out of the last of civilization which was, Naples, Florida, and branched onto Tamiami Trail. The land grew devoid of anything but some traffic, evident that we were heading toward desolation. Businesses and signs of life became less and less as swampy land surrounded the road on either side. There was cane grass, palms of several varieties, pines, c

Skyway Bridge, Views We See in the Full Time RV Life
Maria and I always love driving up the Skyway Bridge. Sitting in our "Captain's " chairs we are high enough to see over the sides and enjoy the views of the beautiful water below. I had to quickly snap this picture because we took a short break and stretched for a spell on our way to the final destination. I stood by the water and took in a deep breath of the salty air, listened to the birds flying over the warm blue water, and enjoyed the sun's rays on my skin. I took it all

Daylight F**king Savings Time Florida : Warning: May Cause Two-Stepping (Against Your Will)
Here I go again, warning everyone of events that may offend, or may even humor. I'm going to start with another bizarre tale that takes place right here in the "country" of Florida. Daylight Savings has arrived, yet another year where we complain about our schedules feeling fucked up, and our lives being filled with more daylight, but are we? Probably in some mathematic equation, yes, but down here, they don't need no stinkin' time change. I was giving my last donation of pla

Death, aging parents, and a wish that needs granted...
Some of you who visit this blog and have read these entries: Working on the Pharm and Pull your Mask and COUGH, may think that I only write to disturb. I don’t, which some of you might have noticed in my blog entry: I met a millionaire in the park today. I write a little bit of everything, so today I wanted to let you in on a little secret: I have a book, you may have seen it over on Amazon, it’s a novella that I’m going to re-introduce, as more proof I write different genres

I met a millionaire in the park today...
I met an older man in the park who said he was rich. He wore tattered clothes. He sat on a bench feeding wildlife. His eyes were sullen, his face a frown, he looked lonely. I smiled at him and he patted the seat, confirming his loneliness. I sat down. There was something about his demeanor, a harmless frail old man with the deepest blue eyes, that was in need of company. He explained to me he spent his entire life waiting for phone calls, waiting for his adult children to tre
