Skyway Bridge, Views We See in the Full Time RV Life

Maria and I always love driving up the Skyway Bridge. Sitting in our "Captain's " chairs we are high enough to see over the sides and enjoy the views of the beautiful water below. I had to quickly snap this picture because we took a short break and stretched for a spell on our way to the final destination. I stood by the water and took in a deep breath of the salty air, listened to the birds flying over the warm blue water, and enjoyed the sun's rays on my skin. I took it all in, because the scenery of travel is the very essence that keeps us living this life.

We've been to the Everglades one other time and it was a looooong day trip that never seemed to end. I drove the Hyundai which does not have cruise control. I was crammed in the driver's seat and we made it to our destination, albeit tired and weary. It was still exciting because we had never been there before, and all adventure that is new, is invigorating. This time we are surrounded by the comforts of our home, The Mothership, and the drive more comfortable, because the ship has all the amenities for comfort.

We stopped at the rest area just before crossing over the beautiful bridge, pictured below, because I wanted to snap a picture, and enjoy the five hour or so drive to our Everglades destination (I'm workamping at the Skunkape Campground). I hope to give a weekly update or two, pending my time, my schedule and the inspiration to write, so I hope you come back often to read the entries.
