Bar Harbor 2026, Books, and the Mothership

I’m going to start by saying something rarely heard by the typical Monday-to-Friday worker: "Happy MONDAY!" Now that that’s out of the way, I’m diving straight into writing updates, workamping plans for the summer of 2026, and perhaps a slideshow below (depending on if my writing steam prevails, lol).

Things have been great on the writing front this year. I’ve assembled a solid ARC team—crossing my fingers as I type this so I don’t curse myself! This is the first time I’ve leveraged social media to build a team of actual readers who want to receive a review copy, read it, and hopefully post a review once I send out the links. I also have EVERY book I've ever published available EVERYWHERE, or at least every platform that I could get them onto, other than just limiting my books to Amazon, so that's a plus.

Not to bore you to tears, in other writing news, my book Karma Cop will soon be available "wide." By wide, I mean everywhere eBooks are sold! The print version will be coming much, much later. If you want to pre-order the eBook, you can find the various purchase options here: Karma Cop.

The past four-plus years of full-time travel have been a whirlwind—from Pennsylvania to Arizona, Oregon, Florida, and finally Maryland. This year is no different, we’re heading to Bar Harbor, Maine! I’ve landed a job at the Hampton Inn where I’ll be serving the breakfast buffet. I’m stoked for this opportunity for a few reasons, but mostly the nostalgia. Bar Harbor was the site of the very first vacation Maria and I took together back in 1993. I remember renting a little yellow cabin and parking my 1990 Jeep Cherokee out front. We took a plane ride, explored flea markets, and ate at local spots. We even ventured to Bangor to peruse Stephen King’s home! We eventually took our four youngest back there in 2013, and now we get to enjoy it all over again.

What’s Next? As my time at Trail Lakes Campground nears an end, Maria and I will head to Hudson, Florida to spend a couple of months with my parents and get some needed maintenance done to the Mothership. From there, we’ll head to Michigan in the spring for a few and then back out to the East Coast.

That about wraps up the life updates. I hope your Monday is spot on and, most importantly, I hope you’re all staying warm. It’s easy for me to say from this temperate climate, but I sincerely wish you the best! I’ll try to be more consistent here, so check the blog often—or better yet, buy a book and help an author out!

Thanks for joining me whether in my fiction, our travels, or the posts I make from time to time. If you’re inspired to hit the road or just want to share something about your journey, I’d love to hear from you in the comments. After all, every great story deserves an audience.

Thanks for reading!
