Maji-Man
The golden sun melted in the sky behind a tall man; a chilly October day waned as brave unseasonable snowflakes fell before him. He could vaguely see his destination from the hill, his giant shadow casting in front, and a long wide brimmed hat hid a silver head of hair. A steely beard hung to the man’s chest. He bore many names: Magician, Fabel, Unega, and even Darkness. People conjured him, tribes, even savages, as the judge and jury. On this journey, the strings of time called to him as Maji-Man.
His life was pain, his life was suffering, and he had walked through an earthy hell in the desert. Each time he was summoned, the world around worsened with violence, with chaos, and with more terror. He had suffered multiple deaths and lived many lives through the strings of history, brought forth with hopes, with dreams. His life existed when needed. This time around he was the hunter of what lay before him in the village.
Maji-Man moved stealthily, through the trees, through the tufts of composting leaves. Soft muffled crunches from the stale foliage crinkled underfoot and broke the silence.
