Sinners, the review, the hype, is it real? My pick of the week...

Welcome to WOW Wednesday Movie Pick, brought to you by Tim Eagle.

In the world of Working on Wednesday, (WOW), I give you a middle of the week movie pick, and a quick review!

Today I'm reviewing, Sinners, the well received movie for the masses, available to rent and buy on most streaming services. This, despite some of the overhyped atmosphere in the movie sphere, is my WOW Wednesday pick of the week...

I’m going to start with saying I’m typically against the grain when it comes to a movie that has been talked about incessantly. I love horror movies that bend the needle a bit when it comes to an overdone trope and Sinners did this for me. The diversity in this film enscapsulated me, gave me an outlook on the genre from a different view point, which is a refreshing breath of fresh air. Sinners also gave me some splatter to fill the blood lust in me and everyone needing some horror in their life. All in all I was impressed with the story, the way it walked the traditional vampire lines, but strayed enough to give me a glimpse of something altogether different, something I wasn’t expecting. Yes, there were some flaws, pointed out by a co-worker: like Michael B Jordan’s, who played himself as a set of twins, could have amped up his acting helping the movie watcher differentiate each, Smoke and Stack’s, characters. That being said, I give this movie recognition for originality, and the acting, for the most part was on point, each giving a performance to stick in my head for years to come. This movie is a must watch.
